ACONTRACT has been placed by the Port of London Authority with I.T.D., Ltd. 29, Palace Gate, London, W,S, for the supply of the new British fork-lift truck called the Stacatruc, for use in the London docks.
• During the war fork-lift trucks were used by the Americans in the London docks, The authorities were so impressed by the amount of time and labour that was saved by them, that it was 'decided to adopt ,them in the Port of Lo'ndon Authority area.

Last autumn extensive trials were earned out with British • and American trucks, and ultimately the .Port of London Authority ordered Stacatrucs. The machine was described in "The Commercial Motor " on September 20, 1946.
