Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The West Sussex parcel and pallet specialist has taken on four apprentices in different parts of the business, including customer service, transport and warehousing. Finance director Jane Jones says Eezehaul’s MD is passionate about apprenticeships and the business has been encouraged to look at its intake as “our managers of the future”.

She says the time and effort needed to devise individually tailored development plans is substantial, but if it is to succeed, then it is necessary.

However, Eezehaul’s investment has provided immediate benefits as well: “It allowed us to look at our succession planning and also helped us fine tune our skills as developers of people,” Jones says.

The apprenticeship route has enabled Eezehaul to take on younger employees than it would normally be able to, because insurance issues would have effectively prohibited it from hiring them within its transport division.
