Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FELIXSTOWE-based container haulier Goldstar has expanded its fleet by buying 156 Dennison sliding bogie skeletal semi-trailers for an undisclosed sum.

Fleet growth came with the acquisition of Leggett’s Transport last year, which added 40 trucks and 60 trailers to the business, placing an extra 15 vehicles on an existing contract, says Goldstar director Simon Day.

The rest of the trailers are fleet replacements.

The purchase sees Goldstar, which started in 1998 with four vehicles, now having a mixed brand fleet of 260 tractor units and more than 300 trailers, which are all Dennison. Day says Goldstar has forged a great partnership with the Lancashirebased trailer manufacturer.

“In today’s highly competitive environment, being able to rely on your suppliers is crucial. Dennison trailers are perfect for the work we do. They are tough, reliable and the back-up support is terrific.” The new trailers weigh in at 4,800kg, and are fitted with BPW ECO Plus 2 axles with drum brakes and Knorr Bremse EBS.
