Norfolk bigger
NORFOLK Line has moved its trailer depot from Haydock to Heywood, and gets a big increase in capacity.
The new depot will coordinate all traffic originating in, or destined for, the North. Trunk runs link the depot with Norfolk Line's three times a day ferry sailings to the continent.
Transit move
NATIONAL Transit Insurance Company Ltd has opened an underwriting office in the Nottingham branch of the Sun Alliance at 35 Bridlesmith Gate, Nottingham.

'Seminar series
A SERIES of one-day seminars on the new goods vehicle drivers' hours rules is to be held at regional centres by the Freight Transport Association.
The seminars will look at the new rules and their operational implications such as vehicle and driver scheduling and depot location, and the question of enforcement and control systems.
The seminars will take place on March 15 at Harrogate; March 20, London; March 21, Nottingham; March 22, London; April 5, Manchester; April 6, Bristol; April 10, Glasgow; April 11, Edinburgh; April 13, Birmingham; April 27, Newcastle. Speakers will be drawn from senior national and regional ETA staff. The seminar fee is £25 per person. Attendance is limited to representatiyes of FTA member companies.
