Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN injection pump, claimed to be reliable in use in spite of its small size, is shown in patent No. 856,598. It employs opposed plungers in conjunction with a rotary distributor. (DaimlerBenz A.G., Stuttgart-Untertiirkheim, Germany.)

The drawing shows a cross-section in which I is the four-lobed cam and 2 and 3 are roller-carrying rockers operated by the cam. The other ends of the rockers work the opposed plungers (4) in an inward direction; springs (5) return them.

The pumping space discharges into a central longitudinal bore (6) in which the distributor revolves. It consists of a sleeve having a slot which connects with each of the outlet ports in turn.
