Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

filHAT well-known concern of weld ing specialists, Barimar, Ltd., 1448, Lamb's Conduit Street, London, W.C.1, was founded on February 22nd, 1906, so that it has just celebrated its 25th anniversary. The growth of the company's business has been contemporaneous with the progress of the motor industry, and when it was established there were less than 10Q,000 motor vehicles in use in this country, whereas last year the number registered greatly exceeded the 2,000,000 mark.

Mr. C. W. Brett, M.I.W.E., the managing director of the concern, has been associated with the company since it inception. Many of the men who were with Barimar, Ltd., in its

c14 early days are still in the service of the company.

The Barimar factories are at the present time equipped with modern plant and apparatus for undertaking the welding of all kinds of parts, and a wide range of up-to-date machine tools is installed for carrying out the various operations that follow those of welding.

Although the activities of the Barimar concern are extensively linked up with the motor industry, there are many other branches of engineering in which its services are called into use. During the war the energies of the company were turned over to work of national importance, and no fewer than 70,000 jobs passed through its works.

From the outset the history of the company has been one of steady progress and, apart from the headquarters in London, there are now branches ;It Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle-onTyne and Glasgow. The company's activities are not confined to its own factories, for when broken parts are very heavy, or cannot readily be dismantled, welding specialists with mobile plants are sent out to do the repairs on the site. A job of this description resulted in the setting up of the Barimar welding business in France, a factory now being in existence at 3, Rue Foucault, Clichy (Seine).
