Using a Trailer for Publicity.

R. A. Dyson and Co., Ltd., 76-80, Grafton Street; Liverpool, has recently completed, to the 'orders of the Mersey. Power Co.,. Ltd., an interesting twowheeled trailer, . which represents an enterprising effort to use a trailer for publicity service. The trailer, which is illustrated on this page, has been built for use behind a private car and has a carrying capacity. of 6-8 cwt. It is 7 ft. 6 ins. long, 5 ft. wide and .-5 ft. 4 ins high, and is divided into six compartments.

As may be seen from the illustration, the compartments carry a selection of electrical apparatus and each side is enclosed by a roller shutter. An interesting feature, is that the trailer is wired for a 230-volt circuit and fitted with the necessary fuses, switches, etc. The operator has plugs fixed upon the distribution poles, to which connections can be made, thus enabling the electrical apparatus to be demonstrated.

As it was desired to obtain a low loading line, the trailer has a. cranked axle. To avoid the need for carrying a spare wheel, the wheels of the trailer are of the same size as those on the car by which it is hauled ' Benevolent Fund Progress.
