Designed by Penmans in onjunction with the RTITB at Livingston and Wembley, th unit will be used mainly in ru al and the more remote ar as for the assessment of a rentices at the end of their tr ming period.
he body, 12.2 metres (40ft) in length, is constructed in alloy panelling strengthened to carry a 5cwt electrically driven, longitudinally transversing hoist and is fully equipped with workbenches, desks, a BOC propane gas system for welding, domestic electricity link-up facility, a lOcwt Ratcliff tail-lift, foldaway ramps to enable a car to be driven inside, and air conditioning. The unit's facilities also include a small drawing office and a store room.
