Based on Karrier Bantam chassis, a 20-cu.-yd. Ramillies refuse collector has been added to the 35and 50-cu.-yd. existing models in the range produced by Karrier Motors Ltd. Two versions of the machine are available: one based on an 8-ft. 2-in.-wheelbase Bantam and having a normal cab, and the other on the 10-ft. 2-in.-wheelbase chassis, this having a six-seat double cab, Both models are powered by the Perkins 9.203 3.3-litre 63-b.h.p. four-cylinder diesel engine without option. With double cab the 20-cu.-yd. Ramillies has an overall length of under 20 ft. and is 6 ft. 6.75 in. wide. Single-cab models are 2 ft. shorter in overall length, and in both cases the maximum height when tipped is 12 ft. 2 in. The Ramillies 20-cu.-yd. body has a list price of E1,850, and the short-wheelbase Bantam chassis with two-seat cab costs £928. The long-wheelbase model with four-door, six-seat cab is listed at £1,133, and in both cases these prices include Cromard cylinder liners and 6.50-16 (Nylon) tyre equipment.
