• Bob Sturgess has resigned as managing director of the haulage co-operative Roads after only a year in the job, its founder Dave Allen has told members in a letter. This "excludes him from taking any part in our activities or entering into any agreement on our behalf-, says Allen.
The company is to move back to its original base in Win

Roads merged with Stttrgess's Milton, Oxfordshirebased Thames Valley Training a year ago, and Sturgess took over the running of the company from Allen, who remained a board member and advisor.
