PRESTONS OF POTTO has won the accolade of best business at the Yorkshire in Bloom awards, for its horticultural achievements.
Judges liked the firm's "mass of colour" in its flower displays on the front of its office in Potto, North Yorkshire. The display includes hanging baskets, tubs and floral beds. The judges said "everywhere is cared for to a high standard".
"All plants are grown from seed or plugs, and reflect the care and expertise of Preston's gardener and driver [Dennis Ward], Despite the long period without rain, and the continual passing of heavy high-sided lorries, this is a most creditable entry," the judges added.
