Shake-up

DRASTIC reorganisation of bus services in Angus, Fife, is to be introduced by W. Alexander & Sons (Northern) Ltd. In 1976, the company's Angus coastal routes lost £70,000. The changes are designed to improve services by timetabling buses at regular intervals during the day.

Transport advice

ADVICE to local authorities on local transport — for the Secretaries of State for Transport and for Wales — is to come in a new series of informal publications. Entitled Local Transport Notes, the first of them contains the results of surveys of concessionary bus fares for the elderly, blind and disabled in England and Wales.

Transport seminar

LOCAL transport co-ordination is the subject of a one-day seminar to be held • at the University of London Extra-Mural Centre on Saturday, October 29. Organised by the University Transport Studies Society, papers are to be presented by David Royle of the Department of Transport, Donald Awdas, of Devon County Council, and Geoffrey Hi!ditch, of Leicester City Transport.
