CM reporter Jennifer Ball mites: As scmeone who has never driven anything bigger than my Ford Ka I was nervous about being behind the controls of a 44-tonner, 'However, the trainer from Driver Hire soon put me at ease taking me through the basic safety and operational aspects of the vehicle before letting me head round the test track. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience I was particularly surprised at how light the steering was.
"I wi VI definitely have more sympathy for truck drivers on the motorway now I realise how hard it is to manoeuvre such a vehicle quickly."
