THE COMMERCIAL vehicle industry's most prestigious van award has gone to the revamped Volkswagen Transporter.
The new Transporter was crowned International Van of the Year (IVoY) for 2004 at the RA! Commercial Vehicle exhibition in Amsterdam last week.
Volkswagen'snewarrivalfought off the challenge of the Renault Master/Vauxhall Movano/Nissan Interstar to scoop the industry's top honour. Pieter Wieman, chairman of the International Van of the Year jury, presented the award to a delighted Benuit Wiedemann, VW's commercial vehicle boss.
