Alexander Marcar and Co Ltd, Parkshot, Richmond, Surrey TVV9 2RJ A. MARGAR & CO is exhibiting a range of products from West Germany. From BPW Bergische Achenfabric are two low-loader trial axles, the NRZ 13010 13tonne and the NRZLS 13010 self-steer version. The HSVO 8010 8-tonne axle with air suspension is shown and a 10-tonne version is also available. These axles have a multiple build feature according to the required trailer capacity.

Marcar also exhibits fifthwheel couplings from Rockinger. Its type 67J Slider unit enables it to accept trailers with various king pin heights.

Primrose Third Axle Co Ltd, Ewood, Blackburn, Lancs.

PRINCIPAL features of Primroses' exhibits are added steering axles and new lightweight rubber suspension. A second steering axle has been added to the ERF tractor on display, ahead

of its drive axle, giving the vehicle the capability of operating at 38 tonne (37.4 ton) in the future.

The other tandem steer truck shown is a Leyland Freighter chassis with its gross train weight raised from 16.25 to 22.35 tonne (16 to 24 ton).

Lightness is the attraction of the new Primrose, bonded-rubber suspension units for tandem axle bogies.

A NEW development from County is a four-wheel drive Ford Transit which is available on both long and short-wheel bases and in various body styles.

Powered by a three-litre engine, the converted Transit features two or four-wheel drive, high or low ratio and free wheel front hubs for normal road use.

The approximate cost of the conversion is £3,000 over the basic unit price and the development carries full Ford ap proval and warranty with County supplying Ford dealers with four-wheel drive parts.

Ray Smith Demountables Ltd., Oundle Road, Peterborough APPEARING for the first time from Ray Smith is a new demount lifting accessory. Portable hydraulic lifting columns plug into the corner castings of a container so that without the assistance of a crane, the container can be lifted from a truck or raised from the ground ready for a vehicle to accept it.

Granning UK, 42a Longbridge Road, Birmingham GRANNING UK is showing its T300A Tag suspension units complete with air-lift which it has installed on some Mercedes L1418 chassis for an export order.

The drive axle is a standard Mercedes leaf sprung drive axle and the vehicles are fitted with reefer bodies and anti-roll bars to counter rough terrain work. Unladen weight is increased by 746.6kg (1,6461b) which includes twin tyres 10.00x20 and the RO-R 22500-Series axle.

TELEHOIST demonstrates its automatic vehicle lubrication systems Telelube and Greaselube 2 which operate under air pressure delivering lubricant at specified periods to as many as 150 points on the vehicle chassis.

Greaselube 2, has a large refillable transluscent reservoir, a simplified electrical installation and a timer suitable for 12 or 24 volts.
