BL quotes the van's load volume, to the SAE standard, as 1.28cum (4 5.7cuft) and its payload as 250kg (four cwt).

Suspension and tyre equipment is unchanged from Metro car models: 135-12 radials are fitted to all one-litre models and 155/70-12 radial tyres to 1.3 models.

All Metros have Hydragas suspension front and rear; 1.3 models have servo-assistance for the hydraulically operated brakes, discs at the front, drums at the rear.

BL offers a three-piece, folding, raised plywood floor, similar to the one used in the Camion, for its Metro van to solve the loading problem caused by the deep lip of the rear sill. The Unipart "EasyLoad" floor retails at £83.50.
