" WE must not seek to dispose of our responsibilities by making outof-date roads a major scapegoat for road accidents. We deplore the unnecessary hazards presented by such roads, but they must serve as a challenge to be overcome by the careful driver and the sensible pedestrian."
Mr, George Brook, general manager of the North Western Road Car Co., Ltd., made this observation last week when 36 drivers of the company were presented with awards for 20 years' safe driving by Mr. F. Williamson, North Western Licensing Authority.
