DACIA is displaying its 1986 Duster 4 x 4 GLX — the "estate car" of the range, with a number of improvements.

It has a new dashboard with pushbutton switches and an illuminated choke ccmtrol. Other internal changes include cloth upholstery and trim, new carpet and revised fittings. Modifications have also been made to the folding mechanisms of both front and rear seats.

Externally, the GLX is now distinguished by full-length sideprotection rubbing strips, "high-risewheel arches and new-style wheels. The sidw

tailgate receives a full-width moulded trim, and new plastic kick plates are fitted to the passenger door shuts.

The new specification GLX will go on sale early in tile New Year alongside revised versions of other models in the Duster range, the hard-top van, pick-up and Roadster.

Alongside the Duster GLX is a Dacia one-ton pick-up which is now being sold under the new "Shifterbrand name. At just 12,995 it is the lowestpriced one-ton pick-up on the market.

Dacia Concessionaires imports a fivemodel range from Auto Dacia in Romania which has been manufacturing vehicles for over 20 years. The I,400cc power units and running gear are built under licence from Renault.
