FIRM AT THE TOP • For the first time smaller firms are to be given the chance to compete with Britain's biggest businesses for the title "Company of the Year".
The Business Enterprise Award has been awarded annually since 1980 to the company judged to have made the most outstanding contribution to wealth and job creation. Now it is being extended to allow entries from any UK company with an annual turnover of million or more.
