The location of the engine, which is also fitted with Neoplan's own diesel particulates (soot) filter, enables a 1,350mm full-width fourth door at the rear of the City bus.
Although the prototype is fitted with 43 seats, up to 143 passengers may be carried. Neoplan is also expected to reveal details at Lausanne of its experimental minibus, developed at its US plant, which has glass reinforced plastic bodywork.
