Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NEW regulations concerning lamps and reflectors come into force on June 2. The minimum height from the ground of the centre of front lamps exceeding 7 W. (except those used in fog or falling snow) on vehicles first registered on or after January 1, 1952, will be reduced from 2 ft. 2 in. to 2 ft., as for lamps on older vehicles.

Obligatory rear lamps and reflectors on vehicles to be registered for the first time on or after April 1, 1959, will be required to be marked with the specification number and grade of the relevant British Standard, and the name or trade mark of the manufacturer. Reflectors on all other vehicles will be required to be similarly marked on or after October 1, 1967.

Where and when these new stipulations apply, the requirements previously laid down about the minimum power of rear lamps and intensity of reflectors will no longer apply. In all other cases, the existing requirements laid down in the Road VehicleLighting Regulations, 1954, will remain in force, except that on a vehicle carrying a projecting load which would obscure the rear lamps and reflectors if carried in the normal position, the lamps and reflectors must be attached to the load.

ENTRIES CLOSE ON JUNE 7 THE organizers of the Coventry round of the Lorry Driver of the Year Competition decided on Monday that entries for the contest, to be held on June 22, would not be accepted after June 7. All official entry forms must be received by that date.
