LIVERPOOL'S £40m inner ring road will considerably benefit commercial vehicle operators said Ronald Williams, chief engineer, Merseyside County Council, at a meeting of Merseyside Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He said that by 1998 traffic volume in Liverpool city centre could be down to one third of 1978 levels thanks to the ring road. "This will make it much easier for commercial vehicles to make deliveries in the city," he said.
