PRODUCT liability legislation is inevitable in Britain and the motor industry must Make changes to ensure that it can be met now said Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders legal adviser Anthea Worsdall last week.
She said that the industry must introduce improved quality control, foolproof product designs and give more thought to warnings and instructions.
"We have to take action now — when legislation is on the statute book it will be too late," said Mrs Worsdall.
