Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Seddon Atkinson is supplying 174 tractive units to the Ministry of Defence in a contract worth an estimated £9m.

The order is for 4x2 and 6x4 Stratos; about two-thirds will be right-hand drive but most of the 6x4s will be left-hand drive. More than half the order is for 4x2s. All models will be powered by the latest Euro-1 spec 283kW (380hp) version of Cummins 14-litre Super E engine, mated to Eaton 12-speed Twin Splitter gearboxes.

The Stratos will be operated by the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. Seddon Atkinson won the order over nine other European manufacturers.

The company believes this order is probably the most valuable it has received from the MoD to date.

The order is seen as a vote of confidence in the Oldhambased company's future: Seddon Atkinson's UK truck sales totalled 389 in the first half of the year, up 25% on the same period last year.
