at Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire, opens this week. The Star Truckstop is located just off Junction 9 on the southbound section of the motorway and provides overnight parking for up to 300 vehicles, according to developers Strathallan Enterprises.
In addition to secure parking, the Star Truckstop has an 80-seat restaurant, bar, video and TV room with five single and ten double bedrooms. The restaurant is open seven-days-a-week, 16hours a day. A fuel station is also located on site.
