SHIE LS, MAYBANKS Len Maybanks is retiring from his post as board director with National Carriers Contract Services after ten years with the company. He will be replaced by NCCS general manager Tom Burke who will be responsible for NCCS's southern based contracts.
NCCS has also appointed two new people in its engineering department. Bill Herring joins the company as specification and purchasing engineer; he previously worked for NFC Forwarding as company engineer. Herring will be assisted by another new recruit, Charlie Shield, appointed technical assistant after seven years as a commercial vehicle fitter with General Motors.
