Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TRANSPORT and General Workers' Union bus members are planning a mass meeting at Westminster Hall on February 18.

The meeting will be followed by a lobby of MPs by the busmen who are pressing for more subsidies to support but services.

Transport Workers' passenger secretary Mr Larry Smith told CM that he had asked all branches to write to their MPs asking them to support the lobby.

The union will also be asking the local authorities to take up any shortfall in government cash to keep the buses running.

Mr Smith said that until the forthcoming government transport review was published the union would have a policy of "no commitment" to rural bus experiments but would definitely not support the introduction of any social car schemes, The DoE had previously suggested that more consideration should be given to these methods of providing rural transport.
