VOLVO International has won a large order for buses from ti Punjab Urban Transportation Corporation for public transpo in the city of Lahore. Volvo claims that the company's transport support syste helped to sell the vehicles. Lahore, Pakistan's second largest city with 2.5m inhabitant will get 300 Volvo B57 front-engined bus chassis with both, fitted in Pakistan with the assistance from Volvo engineers.
Volvo has signed a five-year co-operation agreement with ti Lahore authorities.
