Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

E THE AA Motorists Atlas of Great Britain is available to members at £3.95 post paid or at the same price for nonmembers through major booksellers. It is more than a motorist's publication at five miles to the inch — it's a useful series of maps for drivers of all classes of vehicles.

The maps are contour coloured and for the heavy boys the gradients are marked with arrows showing direction of descent.

The 65 map pages are based on Ordnance survey maps and have been overlapped to ease continuous navigation. The index of 32 pages lists 25,000 places, all cross-referenced to map pages.

There is a criticism: why show detailed centre sections of London, Cardiff and Edinburgh? London, yes; Cardiff perhaps — but surely no one could get lost in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Newcastle all seem more likely places.

Despite this, if you need a new atlas of Great Britain this book is recommended.
