A prepara.tion ,for.. application to bearing surfaces, notably, pistons and cylinder bores, with the object of diminishing friction and wear, has been introduced under the name Seel-Slip. It is Marketed by Brown Brothers, Ltd., Great Eastern Street, London,
E.C.2. Seel-Slip is. available in two forms, both having the consistency of paste and the appearance of containing graphite. It is applied to the parts to be treated when these have been dismantled and thoroughly cleaned. One preparation, after being mixed with water, is applied and allowed to dry in heat ; the other is brushed on to pistonring grooves, valve faces. gudgeon pins; etc„ before assembly. A supply for a large commercial vehicle costs 323. 6d.•
