Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HUMBERSIDE FIRE AND Rescue Service (HFRS) has commended two Montracon employees after it ‘successfully’ dealt with a fire at the manufacturer’s Market Weighton factory on Friday (17 August).

Montracon employees presented arriving firefighters with detailed plans of the site and a list of what was in the single-storey building on fire. This enabled the 12 fire engines that attended the scene to bring the fire under control in just two hours, saving 85% of the building and contents. An HFRS spokesman says that, thanks to the actions of the two Montracon staff, the operation was a success as firefighters could deal immediately with the fire without having to speculate about the inner design of the building or its contents, which would have led to a longer operation. He added that there was smoke damage to the building.

HFRS, as well as police and ambulances, were called at 11pm Friday to deal with a 7,500m2 building that contained fibreglass resin and acetone drums. The cause of the fire is not yet known.

A Montracon spokesman says: “None of our employees were injured, and the fire was quickly contained by the fire service that attended the scene. The fire has caused damage to an area of the factory and to some vehicles that were in production at the time.

“The clean-up is now well under way and production will continue,” he adds.

“We anticipate being able to meet all the delivery commitments as agreed with our valued customers.”
