Foden was awarded a contract to supply the vehicles, based on the Foden Fl170 gun tractor, in August 1984.
The all wheel drive 6x6 unit offers drawbar, supported/suspended tow and winching facilities capable of recovering all of the British Army's armoured wheeled vehicles up to 30 tonnes GC W,
