Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• There's a lot of talk about the danger of the Japanese truck manufacturers attacking the European market.

L for one, would welcome a bit more competition from the Japanese. It would mean more choice for the customer. And if it sparked off a bit of a price war, I don't think too many operators would be crying into their pints.

Don't get me wrong. I am a supporter of the great British truck. I have run Seddon Atkinsons, ERFs and Leylands for 20 years, with few complaints. But if an overseas manufacturer can come in and offer me a better truck at a lower price, then they've got my business.
