first operator to take PCVs from Marshalls of Cambridge since the manufacturer re-entered the bus market this January after a gap of nearly 10 years (CM 16-22 Jan).
The Fareham, Hants-based operator has taken delivery of three Iveco Ford 49.10 Marshall-bodied buses this month with four more to follow to complete the £200,000 contract.
The 23-seaters, which have luggage racks, follow the design Marshalls bought from the Carlyle Group last January, but with a Cromweld 3CR12 stainless steel structure on all chassis members. This structure, which Carlyle used on the Dart, is said to be strong and light.
People's Provincial will use the buses on stage carriage.
