Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

unladen weight 3 tons 14cwt, which will be taxed privately. Could this vehicle be deemed to be under 74 tonnes laden weight, and would I therefore be able to drive the coach at the age of 20 ?

The 7.5 tonnes gross weight criterion in the new driving licence requirements refers only to freight vehicles. Vehicles constructed solely to carry passengers and their effects and which are adapted to carry not more than nine persons inclusive of the driver may be driven at 17 years of age. Above that seating capacity, the vehicle must be driven by a person over 21 years old.
