• TIP, Europe's biggest trailer rental company, is to open eight new depots before Christmas.
This move will bring its total number of outlets to 50.
Apart from a branch at Nottingham, all will be overseas; in-Germany, Belgium, France, Denmark and the Netherlands.
The move follows the news last week that TIP is spending £30 million on a fleet of 2,000 new trailers.
The overseas sites will be in Munich, Hagen, Brussels, Nantes, Toulouse, Aarhus and Arnhem.
