with pre-war heavy goods vehicle driving licences when the new h.g.v. driving licence proposals take effect? For the last five years I have been concerned with maintenance.
A No regulations governing the issue of
h.g.v. driving licences have yet come into force. However, the Minister of Transport has recently issued proposals for their reintroduction.
If they become law in their present form then drivers who have had an aggregate of six months' h.g.v. driving in the previous 12 months willbe issued with an h.g.v. licence. If not they will have to take whatever h.g.v. driving test is subsequently decided upon.
