West PennineTrucks' revamped website is the first new-style site in the Scania network, and one of t e changes is immediately obvious 'video stock list' embedded into t e homepage, showcasing the v hicles for sale.
Click on this to be taken to West Pennine's YouTube 'channel' and watch a larger version of the video (or just point your browser at www.youtube.com/user/ WPTrucks). You might want to turn your sound down if you're not keen on funky instrumental music...
Also from the homepage, you can subscribe to 'Used Trucks News' a free e-newsletter that lists all the latest trucks in stock, with descriptions and photos.
Product search
To find a used vehicle, click on 'Vehicle Search' in the left-hand menu, then pick one of four categories: tractors, rigids, buses and Coaches, or trailers. The items in any category can then be sorted by year, make, price and so on by using a drop-down menu.
If you would like to carry out a more specific search, click on

Click on any thumbnail image to view more pictures and find out f rther details, such as condition, horsepower and full spec.
As you might imagine, Scanias dominate the stock list, but other ekes are available. At time of writing, the Tractors' category I eluded a MAN 18.430 TGA 4x2 and a OAF CF85.
In the left-hand menu, you'll find a link to West Pennine's ruck of the Week' when we visited, this was actually a fleet of low-mileage Scania A-480 6x2 Topline tractor units.

As you would expect from a Scania website, the information is not just comprehensive, but clearly and professionally presented. West Pennine's photography is another strong point, with a While browsing the West Pennine site, we did encounter a few server errors these were frustrating but always resolved themselves within a minute or two, so we'll put them down to teething troubles.
Outside of the 'Used Vehicles' part of the West Pennine site, you can find information on new vehicle sales, services such as accident repair, and the Scania range itself (including the new R-Series).
There's also a link to the Scania webshop, should you want to buy some Scania-branded goodies.
Click on the link marked Our Locations' to reveal maps and directions to all of West Pennine's depots, as well as a list of the services that each offers. We had trouble getting the maps to display, but this could have been the result of those server errors.
