OUR FAVOURITE truck this week is a 2010-registered Renault Premium 18tonne box body, listed by Allports Truck Centre. Specification for FJ10 WRZ includes a Euro-5 270DXi engine, sixspeed transmission, an 8m-long box body and a 1.5-tonne cantilever tail-lift.
The high-roof, single occupancy sleeper cab has air-con as well as electric windows.
The truck has clocked up 176,000km and it’s plated until next September.
The majority of 18-tonners that return to market within three years tend to be sourced from the rental sector – meaning specification is standard. Furthermore, within the used market, 18-tonners with box or curtainsider bodies always make good money.
