• The Transport Development Group has brought 'together its UK plant hire companies under the Cox banner. Beacon Plant now trades as Cox Western, and Mansfield Plant Hire as Cox Eastern. The Cox division has a £35m turnover and runs 20 depots.

• The Hadleigh Industries group, whose CV interests include trailer repair company Al and the agency for Van Hool trailers, has reported a half-year net profits jump to £557,000, compared with .E329,000 for the same period last year.
Soans delivers .• Leamington-based Ivece Ford dealer Soans has delivered five Cargo 0813s to Thorn-EMI's distribution arm Multicare.They will be based at the company's Rugby distribution centre and will carry the Multicare livery.
