• Pontypridd-based furniture manufacturer, Cambria Mobel, has signed a £300,000 four-year contract hire agreement with Rentco for 12 special trideck step-frame trailers.

The contract hire agreement includes maintenance and tyres and Cambria Mobel has the option of extending it for a further two years. As the trailers are worked intensively throughout the week, Rentco will be carrying out all maintenance at the weekend.

• Tesco Stores has chosen Interbond Distribution to take charge of the distribution of wines and spirits to its supermarkets in the north of the country, in a three-year contract.

• CSL Truck and Trailer Hire has acquired the Manchester operation of Graylease. • Barton Transport's pretax profits for the year up to the end of September have jumped 297% from £294,000 to £874,000. Turnover was little changed at £8.4 million.
