Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ATUCH interest is being taken in the _LVJL new Halley rigid six-wheeled, low' loading, passenger chassis, which is equipped with a 32-seater bus body of Strachan and Brown make. The body has a forward cabin for the driver, and front and rear entrances by double doors. Twelve seats are arranged in a sociable compartment and four in an

other compartment at the rear, whilst another four at the front of the vehicle face backwards, the remainder being arranged in pairs facing forwards.

The chassis has a six-cylindered engine, four-speed gearbox, and Westinghouse pressure brakes acting on all four rear wheels.

Another new model to carry 2 tons is the W20, which is shown with a flatplatform body. The finished vehicle, with all equipment, weighs less than 2 tons, and consequently is taxed at £26 only. This has been achieved without any sacrifice of strength, the whole vehicle being particularly robust. It has

four-cylindered engine rated at 22.5 h-0., a four-speed gearbox with central change, and a brake-lever at the right of the driver; both brakes act on the rear wheels.

On the company's Talismates chassis is a low-loading, rear-entrance, 20-seater bus with a rear compartment accommodating three persons. The braking on this chassis is somewhat different. The pedal operates a transmission brake formed as a unit, the pedal also being coupled to one set of rear-wheel brakes ; a hand-lever operates directly on the rear wheels. The wheelbase is 14 ft. 3 ins., and the vehicle is equipped with 32-in. by 6-in, pneumatic tyres, singles at the front and twins at the rear.

Since the well-known model P sixcylinder 4-ton Halley was shown in 1925, the chassis has been materially modified, among the notable improvements being an entirely new crankcase. One of the type is shown with a body manufactured by the United Co-operative Baking Society. It is mounted on 38-in. by 7-in, pneumatic tyres, twins at the rear.
