Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

OONE of the most popular foreign on the British market is the Dodge Brothers 15-cwt., which in future will be known as the Graham Brothers de luxe model. This van has a wheelbase of 9 ft. 8 ins., and is priced at 1285, but a new van of the same load capacity on a chassis with a 9-ft. wheelbase has been developed at £250.

On this new vehicle the same engine Is employed as on the previous model, except that during the past few mouths

p24 it has been greatly improved and the crankshaft is now supported on five large main bearings.

Another new chassis on view is a model T.D. six-cylinder with a wheelbase of 13 ft. 6 ins. This has been designed for the fast economical transport of goods, or for taking 20-seater bodies. The L-headed engine has a bore of 31 ins, and a stroke of 41 ins.; seven main bearings are employed for the crankshaft. Built in one with the engine is a neat four-speed gearbox, and the brakes are operated through the Lockheed hydraulic system. The steering is facilitated by the use of a cam and lever gear, which type has also been proved to be particularly free from wear and consequently easy to maintain.

There are several other chassis on view, and two passenger vehicles, one a 20-seater saloon bus of the one-manoperated type and the other a 20-seater all-weather coach, both these being on the model LC 2-ton chassis. In the bus the seats are arranged crosswise in pairs at each side of the central gangway, and there is the usual emergency door at the rear, whilst in the coach the hood is of the folding 'type with cross rails sliding along fixed side rails. The side windows are of plate glass in metal frames. They are of the drop pattern. Semi-bucket seats are utilized, as these have been found to afford an excellent measure of comfort to the occupants of the vehicle.

Finally, there is a 2-ton hydraulic tipping wagon on the model MC 2-ton chassis, which is a most soundly built proposition.
