James Removals is a keen supporter of truck events and its MAN XXL has won prizes at several shows and took first place at two Removals and Storage Shows.
At the 2010 Movers and Storers Show, the firm and UVB helped raise nearly £500 for forces charity Help for Heroes. UVB built a 1/14 scale remote-controlled Scania tractor unit with trailer in James Removals livery, which participants were challenged to race against the clock around a 25ft2 obstacle course. De-Machen says: “We thought the race would be a bit of fun for people at the show and it got quite competitive.
Other activities have included raising money for Race for Life and other cancer charity walks, and collecting money for British troops in Afghanistan.”
