Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LEX WILKINSON began its formal wage negiotations last Monday (June 17) and held a "quite amicable meeting", General Parcels division managing director Malcolm Howard has said.

The unions — the Transport and General Workers' Union, the General Municipal and Boilermakers' Union and the United Road Transport Union — and management discussed possible cost saving proposals, and the company's demand for a wage freeze until next year.

The extent and details of the cost saving proposals will have an impact on the company's final decision on the wage review, Mr Howard said.
