PRESSURE discharge bitumen transporter manufacturer Cartem of Maidstone, Kent, has now entered the more exacting UK and European markets.
The company formerly concentrated on exports to West Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
An 18,000 litre (3,960ga1) tandem bogie unit built to Cornhill Class C standards and conforming to international transport regulations has gone into operation with Charles Tennants Tar Distillers of Belfast, but the range of transporters is designed to cater for a 24-ton payload at maximum weight operation.
