STAIR DENNIS has finally nched its long-awaited new appliance.

Hestair. Dennis is hoping at the RS appliance will be ught by brigades to replace older R-Series machines. So far orders for 120 appliances have been received. Among fire brigades that have placed orders are Hertfordshire, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, Humberside, Cheshire, Kent and Hampshire.
The largest-engined model is the RS133, which has a Perkins V8 640 engine with Allison automatic transmission. It costs £33,500.
This is a typical price, but each appliance is custom-built to the individual brigade's requirements. As well as specifying different engine and transmission options, a brigade can also choose its own locker layout.
