Transport operators can now keep tabs on their vehicles at any place and any time thanks to the new iPhone application from MiX Telematics. The app features a range of key features that allows users to monitor vehicle speed and location, route maps and historical information.
The system is based on Google mapping, so vehicles can be tracked in real-time on street, satellite or hybrid views. In addition, the app also generates vehicle information in the form of a text message, which is then sent at predetermined intervals to the controller, The MIX Telematics app can be downloaded for free from Apple's App Store.
