Clandestines are clearly desperate to enter the UK, and can be found in all types of HGVs.
They have been found inside tankers carrying food or chemical products, which can be dangerous and cause burns, suffocation, drowning and death to those UKBA reveals.
Furthermore, it is not simply trailer loads they are smuggling themselves in. Previous hiding spots include panniers and axles, or even cab storage lockers.
