Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I HAD my HG' licence revoked in April 2006 when, as a type 2 diabetic, I started injecting insulin.

Luckily, I have received great support from the NHS, and have been informed there are now new drugs available that will supersede the insulin injections.

I am planning to start this new treatment soon. I contacted the DVLA to ask if, once I stopped using insulin, I could get my licence back. I have had no response.

The patronising letter in an issue of CM from David Whitbread (Diabetes research shows the DVLA is on the right road over licensing'. CM 11 December 2008) demonstrates the Big Brother-style attitude being adopted by the Government and its civil servants. Steve Clough
